WRENINGHAM continues to look well handicapped despite back-to-back wins and he can complete a hat-trick in the opener, while Desert Opal and Pic Up Sticks are obvious dangers. The selection's four length defeat of Cranworth Blaze in September now reads very well and don't be fooled by the narrow margin of his victory over course and distance last time. He can defy just a 3lb rise to complete another success. Desert Opal was on a lengthy slide until winning from a mark of 60 last time. Now back up 3lb, if confidence has been restored then he should go very well. Billy Red has been done no favours by the assessor, going up 7lb for a 6f win here last time and he might find the task of defying that rise beyond him now dropped back in trip, though he is weighted to finish very close to Desert Opal on their September running. Pic Up Sticks has his first visit to Great Leighs and is not easy to win with these days, but he ran well last time and is 7lb lower than his last winning mark so is not without hope. Tanley looks capable of getting very competitive off bottom weight but preference here is for Wreningham.
