GUNNER LINDLEY can see off this massive field to bring more Goodwood glory to Barry Hills, but it's another ultra-competitive contest, with decent chances also given to Suffolk Punch and Black Snowflake. Gunner Lindley's more lightly raced than some of these, but won well last time out when stepped up to this trip. He'll handle any cut in the ground if the rain's come, and although poorly drawn, a smart start could help counter that. Suffolk Punch won a decent maiden after getting an early lead, and has shown improvement on turf after taking a backwards step on Polytrack. If at the vanguard early again he could be hard to peg back. Black Snowflake was runner up on debut in a race whose form is working out well, and he followed that up with a convincing win, and looks to have more improvement within him. He's got a stack of fancy entries for later in the year, including three group races. This is another Goodwood race that Mark Johnston's won a couple of times, but neither top weight Rock of Love or Marsh Warbler have much appeal here. It's wide open, and there'll be plenty of each-way value around, but to win it we'll side with Gunner Lindley.
