DANEHILL'S PEARL is our idea of the most likely winner with Nashmiah and Syvilla others on our shortlist. Tom Dascombe's filly won a listed race at Vichy on her most recent start and while fair enough on decent ground, any give will play to her strengths this afternoon. Nashmiah had no answers to the smart Strawberrydaiquiri last time out. She did win the Michael Sealy Stakes at York earlier in the campaign so she should not be too readily discounted. Syvilla has been difficult to catch right. The four-year-old invariably has gone close to winning without quite being good enough. Sweet Lilly has faced some tough assignments this term though she should arguably have done much better at Salisbury. Sterling Sound has been given a fair hike up the weights for her recent effort in the same race though is given some respite on the weight-for-age scale. Misdaqueya was well backed at Leicester and today looks a tougher task. Lecile is an unknown quantity as while her Nottingham victory does not look on strong on paper, she is clearly very much on the improve. July Jasmine bombed badly in the Lancashire Oaks. It would be folly to dismiss her on the evidence of one bad run and this does represent a massive drop from Group company. Alsace Lorraine is sure to be popular having dotted up at the Glorious meeting earlier in the season. Danehill's Pearl can confirm a fantastic season for Tom Dascombe.
