    Verdict

The handicapper has got this right by the looks of it, and topweight Irish Quest should prove too good for Shine And Rise, Pugnacious Lady and Mowadeh. Irish Quest is impeccably bred, being by Galileo out of a Rainbow Quest mare, and has improved with each run for being stepped up in trip. Just touched off by Duty Free at Sandown last time, this half-brother to Macaw now tackles another two-furlongs, and has his best chance yet. Shine And Rise is another that will benefit from this longer journey, and in receipt of 2lb from the selection, he should go close. Pugnacious Lady now qualifies for handicaps and should have enough stamina for this, but Mowadeh is a lot more exposed and is not guaranteed to get the trip. Irish Quest fits the bill and can outstay them all.
