      Verdict

      A chance is taken with ADMIRABLE DUCHESS on her reappearance ahead of Lexi's Layla and Boogie Waltzer. Dominic Ffrench's daughter of Compton Place was given some tough tasks as a juvenile but generally ran well. This looks to be her easiest assignment to date after running behind the likes of Yuritini. Most of her opponents that beat her last year have since gone on to achieve higher marks which is encouraging. If ready first time out she could go close at a price. Lexi's Layla was a very disappointing favourite on her last start but can be given one more chance to run up to standard. The return to turf may help as would some rain. Boogie Waltzer is the form horse in the race but her latest in came on ground with plenty of juice in it. She may not get such cut today but should still be on the premises. However, we are willing to take a chance with Admirable Duchess who looks the value in a trappy race.
