With Managua a slight doubt about seeing out this trip CLASSICE VINTAGE gets the nod on a course he has already won on. Amanda Perret's horse has been in decent form of late having finished a closed up sixth behind very impressive Newmarket handicap winner Tinaar. That form has already been franked by the second horse and the selection has since been dropped a pound for that run. The son of El Prado should enjoy today's quicker conditions after the rain scuppered his winning chances at the Guineas meeting. Mick Channon's Managua is very interesting from the bottom of the handicap but is a doubtful stayer over this trip. His sire has had winners over 12 furlongs so there is every chance he'll stay. His latest second to a real Michael Stoute improver reads very well in the context of this race so he has a big chance on form, if staying. Of the rest there are plenty of doubtful stayers who are not in good form nut Record Breaker and Final Victory could go well. Managua and Classic Vintage are the two to focus on with preference just for the latter.
