A really tough handicap over ten furlongs to kick off the Guineas meeting but the vote goes to RIGHTEOUS MAN ahead of Livaleo and Luttrell Lady. Jessica Harrington is no stranger to having winners on the flat and her son of Mr Greenly has to be respected on his three-year-old debut. The absence is a slight concern but he looked a progressive animal last year and could be up to taking this. Fran Berry is also a positive jockey booking. Livaleo is of interest purely because of connections. Joanna Morgan likes to have a winner here and English based jockey Pat Cosgrave, comes over to take the ride. The son of Galileo has seen plenty of racing on the all weather but has shown in the past he goes well on the grass. Good ground and 10 furlongs should be ideal and he is worth a market check. Luttrell Lady is another all weather horse but has bits and pieces of form on the grass. Pat Smullen is an eye catching jockey booking and the drop to ten furlongs will help this daughter of Namid. Tovaria and the old boy Master Marvel are others to note in a tricky opener but Righteous Man gets a tentative nod in the first.
