Verdict
There are some top yards represented here but MAZAMORRA holds the key to the race and can win from Queen's Envoy and Wajanaat. Marco Botti's well bred filly left behind her debut running when a close second last time with an 80-rated rival back in third. Whilst that horse probably didn't run to form we still regard the effort of Mazamorra as a good one and she sets the standard. Quick ground is apparently ideal and this extra furlong will prove within her compass. Queen's Envoy may rate the main danger to our selection if she behaves, which isn't a given as she ran out last time. That was her first start as a three-year-old and the support she attracted suggests we're yet to see the best of her, which when combined with the strength of the two maidens she took in last year makes a fair case, but her behaviour remains in question and we'll take her on. Wajanaat is beautifully bred so the support she attracted on her debut last term was no surprise and she ran well enough for fourth, however on her return this year she trailed home in last having been keen and like Cumani's filly has questions to answer now. Both remains horses of potential but we're inclined to side with Mazamorra who arrives on the back of her best effort to date; Stargazing has evidently had her problems and was well held on her belated debut, Chicane has looked one-paced and tries turf for the first time whilst Moresweets 'n Lace would make little appeal unless support arrived. Mazamorra sets the standard and should prove hard to beat.
