    Verdict

Having got off the mark at the 10th time of asking perhaps the confidence of SHEER FORCE will have been boosted enough for him to land this from Adventure Story and R Woody. William Knight's charge won well at Ffos Las last time and had them strung out in behind. Having shown some decent form as a juvenile he'd become disappointing prior to that but he should go on from here and has his handicap mark unaltered; having placed off a pound higher in March there's every chance he'll take some beating with conditions ideal. Adventure Story shaped as though in need of the run last time and Richard Hannon's filly must be factored into calculations. She beat 90-rated Jarrow when landing her maiden and also took second behind 93-rated Miss Zooter prior to that, so this mark of 74 could prove generous in the fullness of time and we expect a bold show. R Woody was ahead of Adventure Story last time but may struggle to confirm that form back in handicap company, however he shapes as though six furlongs suits better than five and that Windsor run suggests he's not just an all-weather specialist. In contrast Al Khimiya could be called one having only won at Kempton; the combination of turf, a 6lb rise for her last win and this drop in trip is enough for us to confidently oppose the filly. Caldermud needs to improve on what he's shown but needs a market check ahead of his handicap debut whilst One Hit Wonder looked one pace during his and this drop in distance may not suit. Sheer Force gets the marginal vote ahead of Adventure Story.
