Verdict
Pango is selected to defy topweight over Mutamared, Lord Links, and Just Pour L' Amour in the seventh and final race on the card. Pango won over the course and distance last July, and in fact that was to be his last victory. He has since been fairly highly-tried though, and there should be a class 4 contest for him this season. Hugh Morrison only brought him back to the fray at Newmarket last month after an eight-month absence, so his third to Serre Chevalier over seven furlongs was very encouraging, and back over a mile, he can go close. Mutamared caught the eye when fourth here on his return, but has been campaigned over seven furlongs, and has been difficult to place. Lord Links has gone up in the weights, and may prefer softer ground judged on his course and distance success last October, while Just Pour L' Amour kept on well here last time and is slowly coming back down the weights, so can go well for Hayley Turner. Pango is the pick though.
