Fillies and mares take to the stage and the leading role can be played by Pivotal Answer with Desert D'Argent and Opal Haze playing the supporting role. Jeremy Noseda's filly has always shaped like a thorough stayer and thought highly of at home, she can get her head back in front today. She is proven on the ground and as one of three horses in the lineup who are able to receive the weight allowance from her older rivals, she is fancied to score. Desert D'Argent finished in second beside the selection on her last outing which was a great effort. Formerly with Mark Johnston, she defied a massive absence to run a cracker; if she has improved for that run then she has great claims with a 5lb pull in the weights. Candle and Lisathedaddy are both very consistent sorts, however the latter has only won on the all-weather. Oh Glory Be comes from a stable in form and is one to be wary of with the ground coming right, whilst Opal Haze is another proven on soft and as the least exposed runner in the lineup should be respected. Generous Gem has been kept busy but is better on quicker ground, whereas Intaquilla goes on any going but looks high enough in the weights. A tough puzzle to solve, however we will stick with Pivotal Answer as the nomination.
