A real toughie for punters here and the tentative nod goes to Mr Wolf who is still well handicapped and is fancied to blitz the opposition early on. Safari Mischief, Holbeck Ghyll and Spanish Ace make it to the shortlist. David Barker's gelding has been running well in defeat of late, and may have been well-berthed in his high draw (nine of last ten winners have come form a double figure draw; the other was from stall nine). Mr Barker won this race in 2005 with Sierra Vista and this track should suit Mr Wolf's aggressive style of running. Misaro is consistent but now looks weighted up to the hilt, whilst Holbeck Ghyll won this race last year but is now 8lbs higher in the weights. Coseadrom would prefer more rain so is passed over, along with Canadian Danehill and Peopleton Brook who are both fairly consistent but don't tend to win too often. Texas Gold needs to bounce back from a poor last effort, so of more interest may be Safari Mishief who has won two of his last three starts although as a result he is now up to his highest mark to date. At a price Talbot Avenue could go well, however Mr Wolf can score.
