Hi Calypso shapes as if she wants this step up in trip and Sir Michael Stoute's filly is fancied to complete the hat-trick at the main expense of Brisk Breeze and Wannabe Posh. The selection only got up right on the line last time out having looked well beaten with two furlongs left to run. She showed a good attitude on that occasion and whilst this is a step up in class, it doesn't look the toughest of Group Three's and she can continue her trainer's exemplary recent form. Wannabe Posh could be the main danger; John Dunlop's filly is ultra consistent and only went down by just over a length last time out in Ireland. She would be even more of a threat if the ground continues to dry up as she loves top of the ground. Alambic stays well but was bitterly disappointing when last seen and cannot be truly recommended after that effort, although it may be folly to rule her out just yet. Brisk Breeze is yet to fully prove her stamina but this looks an easier race than last time out, whilst Trick Or Treat was well held behind her last time out and there is no real reason for her to reverse those placings. All in all, this looks a decent opportunity for Hi Calypso to make a successful step up from handicaps to Group company.
