Verdict

Calico was declared for the 5.10 here yesterday and his stable also run Royal Eagle, a winner at the fixture last year though nine lengths behind Cottie at Downpatrick in June. The winner will be 10lb higher with her rider's claim taken into account and stable jockey Rachael Blackmore rides Lady Rita, who she was on board when successful at Killarney last month. Feet Of A Dancer won a Wexford maiden then landed a handicap in good style on a return visit while Banntown Girl came good at Ballinrobe and has a significant pull in the weights with Ballybawn Belter for a three-length beating at Leopardstown. Red Ball Of Fire and Delante fought out a finish at Sligo but in a race where nothing can be ruled out a chance is taken with DE LADY IN RED, a once smart prospect who was returning from a very long break when catching the eye at Punchestown in May and will have been tuned up for this.
