      Verdict

      ROACH POWER can be forgiven a poor run at Chester and he's been racing in better company since scoring at Ripon a year ago - the drop in class can see him home. Cold Stare hasn't won since October 2021 though has been placed on numerous occasions but Gone has won four times already this year, though has shot up the weights as a consequence. Look Back Smiling started odds-on at Beverley after a short-head defeat at Hamilton but never really got going and could find this on the short side. Media Guest was first past the post at Chelmsford but demoted for interference while Marayel is still a maiden and looks no nearer winning.
