Rob Leach should have too much class for these and we can only forsee Tensile as the only possible barrier to victory. Invariably well backed, Rob Leach won a selling hurdle round here last December after a two year absence and in spite of the leg problems that have blighted his career, he remains a likeable enough individual who wins more than his fair share. It will be interesting to see what activity takes place after the race. Tensile is at the age where he is of little interest for potential claimants but is also too high in the handicap to be competitive in the hurdling division. He rarely runs a bad race and should not be disgraced on this occasion. Mr Ternet has been set some tough tasks against novices. Charlie Mann's horses are always worth a look when dropped to a lowly grade although on this occasion, Mr Ternet would have been far better off in a handicap. A comment that equally applies to course and distance winner Madison Avenue. Its very difficult to get away from Rob Leach and we will not oppose him.
