A difficult looking race to solve. Glacial River is likely to start favourite but there are a couple of nagging doubts about this one's ability to handle the going. The same concerns applying to Coolteen Hero and The Sawdust Kid. Lucys Lad is respected from the Williams stable but his fencing has won him few friends of late. Sir Valentine probably found four miles too far last time out. He has been punished by the handicapper for a purple patch earlier in the season and would have made more appeal if Barrie Fenton were on board. A chance is taken with Over Zealous. He is far from easy to predict but he is at least a definite stayer in soft ground and looks to be the percentage call.
