Verdict

Bolton Hall is bound to be popular with backers having won two of his last three starts over hurdles and with Tony McCoy booked for the ride but he seems plenty high enough in the weights and preference is for KING AR AGHAIDH, who gets the verdict ahead of Deadline. Alison Thorpe's gelding won well enough here last time but a 7lb rise for that success makes this tougher and he may struggle to follow up today. Kristoffersen ran well behind Tritonville Lodge here when last seen in May but he may be best watched on his first start since then, while Willies Way has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for his wins last month. Havenstone has run to a consistent level of form and should again be thereabouts as should Phone In, who has dropped to a fair mark. This does not look the strongest of races and marginal preference is for David Arbuthnot's King Ar Aghaidh, who looks to be going the right way and he can resume winning ways.
