Verdict

Dot's Delight showed some promise on her hurdling debut at Uttoxeter earlier this month but Mark Rimell's mare needs to step up considerably on that effort to get the better of LADY HILLINGDON, who gets the vote ahead of Walamo in what looks a match. The selection won a maiden hurdle well at Limerick in June but showed her best form so far when running out the easy winner of a novices' hurdle over course and distance earlier this month. A reproduction of that effort should be enough to see Paul Gilligan's mare win again. David Gandolfo's Broadway Allstar has been well held in all starts in bumpers and over hurdles, while Alison Thorpe's Rowan River has given no sign of encouragement so far. Tim Vaughan's Walamo won his maiden hurdle well enough at Bangor last month but struggled at Ffos Las last time and he may have to settle for place behind Lady Hillingdon, who is hard to oppose.
