Verdict
Colonel Arthur undoubtedly has ability but Shane Donohoe's gelding has failed to complete in three of his last four starts over fences and looks best watched in a race taken to go to INDIAN BLOOD, who gets the vote over Doubly Guest. Tim Vaughan's mare would take all the beating if she could reproduce the pick of her hurdles form over fences but she has not been the most reliable in recent starts over timber having refused to race when last seen in April and having been well beaten in her two starts prior to that. The five-year-old has run more encouragingly on the flat of late and has to be respected first time up over fences. Capall Eile ran better over hurdles at Plumpton last time but would need to improve going over the larger obstacles to trouble the selection and of more interest may be Nordwind. The Evan Williams-trained gelding has not shown much in two starts over fences but form over hurdles gives him a chance but preference is for Indian Blood. A winner on the flat in France, the five-year-old has only won once since joining Paul Nicholls but he showed progressive form last term over hurdles and looks worth siding with having been given a two month break prior to this his debut over fences.
