Day By Day is selected here ahead of Victory Spirit and Awwal Malika. Much as the return to six furlongs will suit Beautiful Madness, she still has to prove that she is effective in terms of winning from her current rating. Day By Day, another penalised runner, looked to have scope for further improvement when scoring at Yarmouth last time and, over what could well be her ideal trip, looks a leading player tonight. Awwal Malika is consistent and the drop to six furlongs is worth a try, while Support Fund has it to prove now from a revised mark but a good run is not entirely ruled out. Victory Spirit has so far failed to build on earlier promise but has won over course and distance and first-time headgear is now tried. The others have something to prove we feel, with, once again, the selection being Day By Day.
