Verdict
In the opener, Maslak is selected ahead of Arqaam, Nutkin and Royal Jasra. The Godolphin newcomer Arqaam certainly catches the eye on breeding, while Maslak may have been disappointing on the all-weather last time but, prior to that, had shown maiden form that earned a rating in the high 70s, which certainly puts him in the picture here. The James Fanshawe-trained Nutkin showed improvement from run one to two and should have more to come on run three, so give her some thought, while Ed Dunlop's 62,000 guineas newcomer, Royal Jasra, has to be given some thought too. Another interesting debutant is the Terry Mills-trained Royal Rainbow and Tropical Strait has at least shown ability, albeit to a level that is rated in the high 50s. In truth, not too many of these runners have shown much in the way of ability, although Haasem has shown some promise, so we return to the selection, which is Maslak.
