      Verdict

Great Hawk has a big reputation and is selected to land this competitive race under top-weight, Star Of Light and Players Please may provide most danger. This expensive son of El Prado landed aSn ascot classified race in great style last time out, staying on well to beat the 94 rated Lundy's Lane. The handicapper has only moved him up five pounds which seems pretty fair and he can land this before moving on to listed company. Star Of Light has also been treated lightly by the assessor following a smooth success last time out and he is another one on the upgrade. Mark Johnston's handicappers always have to be feared here at York and so Players Please comes into the argument following a terrific run in a hot race at Goodwood last time out. Bandama and Yarqus are both starting to look well handicapped and are also worthy of respect, but Great Hawk is now starting to live up to his illustrious pedigree and he gets our vote.
