Elhamri should not be underestimated in this truly open handicap and he is sporting option in the finale; Morinqua and Rasaman are quite closely matched and have to merit respect, while Valery Borzov is at the right end of the weights to run a big race, so looks the best option from David Nicholls pair of contenders. Significant rain would be a worry for the last named, though. So a carefully monitoring of the ground is advised before taking the plunge with the three-year-old. Rasaman was just in behind Morinqua when they met at Goodwood at the start of this month and, assuming the form holds up, a big run can anticipated from this son of Namid. Some give underfoot may well suit Michael Jarvis' charge and he rates as fair value here. Morinqua has already enjoyed a cracking season - including a course and distance success amongst her haul. A steep rise up the weights has duly followed, but she is an honest type that has coped with every test put in front of her. She handles most types of ground and is expected to be on the premises once more. However, Elhamri - a winner at Royal Ascot last year - has a touch of class about him and, as this is his easiest assignment of this campaign so far, he is no forlorn hope to bounce back. Sylvester Kirk has always said this fellow is all about speed and, at double figure odds, he would be too tempting to ignore today.
