A race that won't take too much winning so it may pay to side with THETA WAVE although Mandhooma could bounce back and Miss Pusey Street could have more to give. Jeremy Gask's runner was hard ridden to prevail in a selling handicap at Ripon but that has seen his mark rise by just 3lbs and it could pay to follow him now that he's got his head in front. He picked up strongly where it matters so this longer trip could see him in a better light. Mandhooma will need to post a better effort than she did at Bath on her attempt to record back to back successes but she had won well enough at Brighton prior to that to merit consideration in this company. Dancing Welcome meets her on 2lb better terms than Brighton where she was half a length behind and a shade unlucky in running but there is a doubt as to how much she wants to get past the horse in front. Miss Pusey Street was caught in the shadow of the post in a Brighton seller by a much higher rated individual and the handicapper may have taken a chance in leaving her mark alone but we still prefer to side with Theta Wave.
