To describe this as modest would be an understatement, and we'll take a small punt on CORRIB, while Screaming Brave and Chichen Daawe also make the shortlist. Corrib hasn't won for more than two years, but has shown a modicum of form this season in similarly poor contests. Chichen Daawe posted her best effort last time out when runner up over this trip at Newcastle, and a similar run could pay dividends, although at this level there's little consistency, hence why they're running at this level. She's probably got some more improvement to come, and as Brian Ellison's only runner on the card, it seems a long way to come unless they think she's got a realistic chance. Screaming Brave won off a higher mark than this at Lingfield in the summer when following up a Yarmouth success, and after being disappointing since seems well-treated by the handicapper. Any support for Who Art Thou, having his first run for a year and making his debut for his new yard, could be interesting, but to minimum stakes, we'll side with Corrib.
