MOROCCHIUS is aiming to complete a hat-trick of wins in this sort of contest and looks well treated to do so, but there are likely to be strong challenges from Cavendish Road and Jewelled. Julie Camacho's gelding has shown terrific heart to win his last couple of races, particularly last time out when he looked as though he was going to be nabbed late on. He's well in at the weights (especially with a five pound claimer on board) and has the best recent form, with three wins from four. Cavendish Road has paid his way this summer, mainly through being something of a Brighton specialist. Jewelled's best effort was last time out when dropped down to a mile for the first time; a repeat run in better ground could see her break her duck. Ela Gorrie Mou gains weight from most, and may attract some support after winning at Yarmouth last time out, but this is a step up in class for her. Bolanderi steps down in trip after previously winning over a mile and a quarter, but may be carrying too much. Tanforan is another distance winner, and has struggled recently in testing conditions, so will appreciate faster going here. It's a fairly trappy affair, with preference being for the treble seeking Morrochius.
