SAILORMAN is a typical Mark Johnston improver and he can account for Regeneration and Beaver Patrol. The three-year-old is in receipt of a valuable weight-for-age allowance and if granted a soft lead, he could be incredibly difficult to peg back. Regeneration won his first race for Michael Bell having struggled since leaving Simon Callaghan. His recent effort at Kempton is probably best ignored. Beaver Patrol has run in much better grade than this in the past and after a sizeable amount of time in the doldrums, the handicapper finally seems to have that it would be prudent to drop him down the weights. Another Magic Man took advantage of a lower mark to oblige at Chester in June. He was unable to follow up last week but he could still be well treated at present. Prince Of Thebes is a course-and-distance winner though he has very much become a light of his former self. Buxton is best of the rest. Sailorman could turn out to be much better than this grade so has to be the nomination accordingly.
