Border Music made good headway to finish second on his last visit here, and can go one better at the expense of Arry Dash, Franksalot and Ridge Boy. The trip could be the key here as, judged on his last two efforts over seven furlongs, the time is right for Andrew Balding's gelding to be stepped back up to a mile. The son of Selkirk was noted staying on steadily near the finish, and looks set to gain what would be only his second career success. Arry Dash was fancied at Newbury last time but was firmly put in his place by Grey Boy and is beatable, although he can be considered for a place. Franksalot gets weight all round and will be a popular choice with the locals after his narrow second here last week. Ridge Boy disappointed badly at Haydock, but is a better animal round here, and it would be no surprise to see him involved in the shake-up either, but our allegiance lies with Border Music.
