This is an interesting handicap in which Iffy gets the call ahead of Blackmail, Burgundy, Kanad and Gjovic. Iffy has proven himself here and, much as he is four pounds higher than for his best previous win, for us, he should be competitive tonight and comes here in good heart. Blackmail also goes well here but is eight pounds above the mark from which he won at Brighton in June, which will make things tougher. Burgundy is ten pounds better off for the three lengths he finished behind Iffy over course and distance in June, which should bring them a lot closer together. French claimer winner, Vracca, is an interesting runner from the Martin Pipe yard, although she refused to race at Stratford last time and, even though he remains a maiden, Gjovic is racing from a mark from which his best form entitles him to consideration. Kanad is nudging up the weights for some fair placed efforts but, once again, has to be considered, while King Of Diamonds has something to prove on Turf and Major Faux Pas has yet to race on grass. All of which, returns us to the selection, which is Iffy.
