We will side with Impeller here, with his biggest dangers reckoned to be Miss Pebbles, Quantum Leap, Ridge Boy and Landucci. There is no doubt that Impeller is competitively weighted here if he can get back to the best of his form of the last 12 months, and there were signs at Goodwood last week that he was on his way back, something we feel he can confirm at this level today. Miss Pebbles bounced back to winning ways over course and distance last time and, from a six-pound higher mark is entitled to some respect. Quantum Leap comes here in good heart and, having proven his liking for the track, is also entitled to consideration. Ridge Boy comes here on the back of a very good third to Plectrum at Goodwood, a run that puts him firmly in the picture. All of Landucci's wins have come at Brighton but this track is similar, and he proved last time that today's trip holds no fears and he might have better to come at the distance. Katiypour is a course winner but has been raised seven pounds for his Lingfield win, from which he is eight pounds worse off with Quantum Leap for eight-and-three-quarter lengths. Finally, Putra Kuantan has dropped to a mark from which he ought to be competitive, although he has been out of form for a while now. This returns us to the selection, which is Impeller.
