In depth

Verdict

Milton Of Campsie takes an inevitable drop in grade and Stuart Parr's colt gets the vote; stablemate Sprit Of A Nation and Flower make it to the shortlist. Having won a maiden at Redcar, the selection was then jumped up to unattainable heights of the Irish 2000 Guineas. He was never going to win there, but with the form of his maiden working out well and proven on quick ground, he rates the value bet. It will be interesting to see how he moves in the market compared to stablemate Spirit Of A Nation, a recent Redcar winner. His previous form behind Royalist looks solid but this will be the quickest ground that he has encountered and it may all happen too quick now dropped in trip. Astrodonna looks more of a stayer so it is slightly surprising to see this filly dropped in distance, whilst Admirals Way has been running well lately but in lesser contests. Flower is consistent and the stable can do no wrong at the moment, whilst Asian Lady should appreciate a return to the turf. An open affair, with Non Sucre one to watch in the betting; however it is Milton Of Campsie who gets the vote.
