Verdict

SEA SALT is nominated in the hope that some of the forecast rain falls on Town Moor; Sea Crest, Divertimenti and Arjemis are others that could figure prominently in a trappy start to the evening. Ronnie Barr's charge has struggled on recent outings but that has seen his handicap mark drop to the level from which he was last successful and it's interesting that his trainer has engaged the services of in-form apprentice Dale Swift. He has won on quick ground but his best efforts have been with cut in the ground and he could be interesting from a high draw if the rains arrive. Sea Crest has been performing consistently and is entitled to go well but he is still a maiden after nineteen starts and it'd be a brave man that would back him to open his account in a race as competitive as this. Divertimenti does most of his racing on the all-weather but is effective on grass and comes here in form as does Arjemis who may be a little better than her recent form figures suggest as she's been struggling to land a blow from off the pace at Catterick. She can go well in an open race but a chance, with one eye on the heavens, is taken on Sea Salt.
