PEPPER LANE showed enough on her debut to make her the one to beat here; Rio Caribe and On The Bounty look the main dangers. The selection was only beaten a short-head on her debut at Ripon last week behind Novay Essjay. That colt was due to run at Newcastle last night so that race will give us an indicator to the strength of the form, but nonetheless she looked a speedy type on her debut and nominal improvement would make her tough to beat. Rio Caribe missed the break on his debut but he did hint at ability and with that experience under his belt it would not be a surprise to see him show improved form tonight. On The Bounty is bred to show plenty of speed and he is worth a market check on his racecourse debut. Masked Dance has a good draw but he will need to step-up on what he has shown so far if he is to make his mark. Pepper Lane looks a smart filly and she should prove hard to beat.
