COLOURFUL PAST did enough on debut to think that she can land this prize although Mabsam, Makheelah and Mama Lulu number amongst some interesting newcomers. Godolphin's new trainer has made a bright start to the season and Colourful Past had clearly shown something at home as the filly from a smart American family was made favourite for her racecourse bow at Haydock. She ran rather green and didn't find an awful lot for pressure but can be expected to improve for the experience and make her mark in time. Mabsam is bred to be precocious and bred to be useful and she would rate highly on the list if the market were to give out the right vibes although Ed Dunlop has yet to send out a juvenile winner this season. Makheelah may need a little further in time but hails from a yard with a strong hand in this division this season whilst Mama Lulu is the first foal of a smart performer and they are both runners to bear in mind but Colourful Past is taken to put her experience to good use and to come out on top.
