HAATHEQ is progressing well this term and is fancied to take this step up in class in his stride; he may have most to fear from Sea Lord and Rumool. The selection contested some fair maidens at two with Emerald Commander, Ameer and Workforce running out the winners of the three contests and he has found his home in handicap company this season where he started life on a mark of 70. After two seven furlong wins at Leicester he lines up here on a 15lb higher mark but he is progressing rapidly and looks up to the task. Sea Lord doesn't look obviously well handicapped on a 5lb higher mark than when scoring at Wolverhampton but his Middleham yard is firing on all cylinders and it would be dangerous to assume that there isn't more to come. Rumool shaped promisingly in a handicap at Newmarket that has worked out really well and he appeals as the main threat to the selection although this trip may already be a bare minimum. Flip Flop was behind that day but is entitled to improve and also rates a danger whilst one can hardly dismiss Strong Vigilance, Bahamian Music and Ginger Jack out of hand but it's hard to get away from Haatheq.
