All was not right with Glenridding last time and he rates a big danger if getting an easy lead however preference is for WAR AND PEACE ahead of Elusive Fame and Feeling Fresh in a rather tricky race for punters to solve. David Evans' gelding was a disappointment at Salisbury last time out but the longer trip this evening should be in his favour. His draw is not ideal however he is only 2lb higher than when winning in May and if he can get a good early position then he should go close. The drop in trip needs to have a good effect on Dragon Slayer who has been out of form so far this year, I Confess is consistent but hard to win with, whilst Elusive Fame's best moments this year have come at Southwell but there is no denying how well handicapped he is if all things come together from stall one. Border Owl's third to Jonny Lesters Hair reads well, Ride A White Swan is another who may just be best on an artificial surface, whilst Feeling Fresh has a first run for 321 days and is far from ignored for local trainer Paul Green. Many Welcomes, Saving Grace and Lily Wood are all respected coming here on the back of improved performances. The market may help in this finale but preference is for War And Peace.
