Verdict

Not an easy race to call but GRANNY MCPHEE is on a roll and is nominated ahead of Desert Kiss and Sing Sweetly. The last-named is very much of interest given her excellent second to Harris Tweed in the Edinburgh Cup however she is yet to break her duck and it may pay to side with proven winners. One of those is the selection who is having a stellar season, winning three times since the turn of the year. She has a 6lb penalty to contend with today for his latest Windsor win but she is a filly on a roll and gets the nod. Tipperary Boutique pulled too hard on her comeback in a decent Newbury race so that effort is best ignored and it would be no surprise to see her run a big race from her plum draw, Hollow Green looks high in the weights after her Windsor win in May, so a bigger threat is Desert Kiss who won well at Doncaster last time out and a 4lb higher mark certainly doesn't rule her out of calculations. The vote goes to the in-form Granny McPhee.
