In depth

Verdict

Imperial Mint looks the most likely winner here and he is nominated over Nacho Libre and Fred's Lad. The selection hails from the Kevin Ryan yard and he ran really well at York last time when fourth behind Sir Gerry. This looks to be his best trip and if he can reproduce that effort today then it should be good enough to see him get his head in front. Nacho Libre finished behind the selection in that York race and we see no reason why the placings should be reversed here. Fred's Lad was a respectable third behind Captain Gerrard last time and he tackles this trip for the first time today. Carleton has had plenty of chances and he looks to have a bit to find to get competitive, all of which returns us to Imperial Mint as the one to beat.
