This is an intriguing maiden where a number of the runners can be given a chance, including a couple of interesting debutants, but Mick Channon, double handed in the race, may come up with the winner in the form of Aaim To Prosper. Mark Johnston sends Hearthstead Maison on the trip to the Welsh borders and this son of Peintre Celebre may well give a good account. he is bred to be more of a middle distance performer and may find this one mile trip on the short side. However he is respected but others are more experienced and this could be a stepping stone for him. Mick Channon's Patavian is interesting, having just had the one run to date, starting an unconsidered outsider at Newbury. He turned in a creditable performance to finish sixth, staying on in the closing stages. he is no forlorn hope here over this extra furlong. Prince Sabaah is a newcomer to note from the Richard hannon yard. he is a son of Spectrum so will be suited by the underfoot conditions, and is out of a winning dam who is related to a multiple winner over this trip. Any market move should be heeded. Aaim To Prosper is one of the more experienced runners in the field, having run promisingly at Newmarket, staying on well in the closing stages he was then quite well fancied over this course and distance next time. Although only third, he was only beaten a length and a little further progression can see him take this. Aaim To Prosper can lead them home.
