There are plenty of professional losers in play here and SPIRIT OF CONISTON can see those off with Maggie Kate and Miss Pusey Street likely to run him close. Paul Midgley's yard are in decent form of late and the six-year-old made all to take a prize at Catterick. This is a fair draw this afternoon and the instructions will be those to jump and run. Maggie Kate needs to be delivered as late as possible. She won under an ice cool ride at Brighton and Rab Havlin is back aboard again. Miss Pusey Street would come into the equation if the going went soft. True, she put up a lamentable effort last time out but her form with Scrapper Smith is some of the best on offer. Sandy Par should have won his maiden by now though he has been something of a boon for each-way backers. Bookiesindex Boy is potentially very well treated versus his form on artificial surfaces though there has been nothing of note on turf of late. One Way Ticket and Meikle Barfil are regulars in low grade sprints and are noted in the market. Cocktail Party was second last time out. That was improved form and if he goes for a lady rider, Amy Scott's claim could prove helpful. Sofinella has won off a mark of 54 in the past though that line of form seems very long ago indeed. Spirit Of Coniston is far from consistent though in a line up featuring many with roguish tendencies, he may represent the safest option of the bunch.
