RARE MALT may be able to carry Fallon back into the winner's enclosure on his first ride back. Taper Jean Girl may pose most problems with Wajanaat just one of several newcomers to note. Victory for Rare Malt would provide some welcome publicity for Amy Weaver's small yard but she's already beaten last year's tally of winners and it's results that count. Her filly ran respectably behind Seta on debut and improved on that form when finishing closer behind the Newmarket second at Kempton. That form sets the standard and she should go close. Taper Jean Girl stayed on from off the pace in a fair maiden at Kempton on debut; the sixth home posted an improved performance on Tuesday but the form looks no more than fair. Wajanaat looks the part on paper as one would expect but Marcus Tregoning doesn't have a great record with his juveniles at this track. One trainer that does do well here is Ed Dunlop and it will be interesting to see if his half-sister to winners in Argentina attracts support but that is true of any of the newcomers. However, we're going to side with experience and Rare Malt.
