Verdict

A dire race to close proceedings on but something has to win and MAKE AMENDS is our idea of the most likely winner with Goodbye Cash and Harrison Flyer others to consider. The worry about our selection is obviously the going. However, she is a daughter of Indian Ridge so there is half a chance of her being able to cope with the prevailing ground conditions. Goodbye Cash is better known on artificial surfaces though did post a first victory on turf last time out when taking a plating affair at Brighton. Harrison's Flyer needs little introduction though we haven't seen him over a mile before. Mrs Slocombe was rated much higher last term when trained by John Akehurst. As a son of Captain Rio, it would be no surprise to see Never Sold Out leave behind some of his inauspicious runs on fast ground. Lordship is on a losing run whilst Arabian Silk looks very slow. Not a race to linger long over and Make Amends can triumph.
