Verdict

MANERE BAY has been running well in defeat this summer and should be good enough to break her tag with both Respite and Nesayem worth noting. The John Dunlop trained filly caught the eye when finishing third to Northern Jem at Newmarket last time out. This does look like one of her easiest opportunities for some time and if recapturing her best she will not be too far away. Respite won on her seasonal reappearance at Kempton but she has disappointed in handicaps since so should be treated with caution. Nesayem has been running well of late and is improving with race experience. She is still well treated and warrants respect, but for the winner we return to Manere Bay.
