A typically competitive affair in which Darcy's Pride is our selection against Quicks The Word and Jun Fan. Darcy's Pride hails from the yard of David Barker and while her own form has been a tad disappointing of late, the trainer's sprinters do look to be coming back to hand and from a helpful draw, we can get a run for our money at a fair price. Quicks The Word is a regular in events of this nature. He ran on well to finish third in a recent Apprentices race at Carlisle. Jun Fan has a horror draw to work from. That said, his yard are in form. Baltimore Jack has tumbled rapidly down the ratings and is one to note in the market. Dark Champion has ran well at the course previously and cannot be dismissed. Messiah Garvey has won well in plating grade but has struggled outside. Ryedane has struggled badly for form although he does act on the surface. Johnston's Glory won arguably one of the worst sellers ever staged on a British racecourse. Spirit Of Coniston has pace and is one to note in the market at longer odds. Darcy's Pride gets the call.
