Richard Hannon's Wilbury Star looks a good bet to land the opener; Splinter Cell, Kyle Of Bute and Hesketh could prove best of the others. The selection brings the best form to the table here and this colt has shaped with plenty of promise on each of his two starts to date. He was turned over when an odds-on favourite last time but he didn't do a lot wrong that day and he can get the losses back this afternoon. Kyle Of Bute hails from a top yard who are in good form, but he has been a little disappointing of late and he will need to improve to get his head in front today. Splinter Cell and Hesketh are newcomers who hail from yards that merit plenty of respect in these type of events so a market check is advised. Indeed, with a number of newcomers in the field the market may provide the clues here but Wilbury Star sets the standard and should prove tough to beat.
