In depth

Verdict

A small field and Yossi gets the vote ahead of Inasus in a two-horse race. The selection comes here having failed to get his head in front on numerous occasions (8 to be precise) but connections will be desperate to win a maiden as a mark of 80 for handicaps looks harsh. He may not need to be at his best to score here, as the only danger is Inasus. Mark Johnston's colt ran a fair reappearance at Hamilton when only going down by a length and with that run under his belt, he can lay down the challenge to the selection. Resaass, a cheap son of Seeking The Gold doesn't really take the eye on his debut, so of more interest if we really stretch the imagination may be Hill Cloud who at least is unexposed after just one run. A virtual match then, and Yossi gets the vote.
