Snow Bay has claims off top-weight however MISTER TINKTASTIC has shown plenty of nous of late and is fancied to complete his hat-trick. Michael Dods' gelding comes here on the back of wins at Pontefract and Carlisle, and although this less demanding track may not be ideal, he can still be fancied to give it a very bold bid from his excellent low draw. He likes the ground, the stable are in good form, and he has plenty of ticks in the right boxes. Ursula is a filly of promise but she has not raced on anything quicker than soft to date, whilst Snow Bay's run at Thirsk is better than it immediately looks as he came from off the pace around the whole field and should be much sharper for the run. Also of interest is Ykikamoocow who won over this course and distance last time and is interesting, although it was a small field last time and he didn't exactly win with much in hand. Sky High Kid is unexposed and doesn't look harshly treated on a mark of 66 for his handicap bow following a Great Leighs win at the end of last year, whilst a visor is tried on Fitzolini but it will need to work the oracle. Abbey Steps and Top Flight Splash are both consistent enough but each is out of the weights and a more interesting rival is Northern Flyer who comes here on the back of a win at Musselburgh and he seems to be getting the hang of things. An intriguing three-year-old handicap, but it is Mister Tinktastic who is preferred.
