Royal Pardon, Ayam Jantan and Jellytot are the three for the shortlist here, and Royal Pardon is taken to come out on top. Ayam Jantan shaped well at Musselburgh last time in his best race to date for Mark Johnston, but he appears fairly well exposed and may find one or two of these too quick. Royal Pardon is still a maiden in 14 starts but has hit the frame in handicaps in her last two starts and this looks a good opportunity for her. Jellytot was highly tried as a two-year-old, running respectably in the Convivial Maiden Stkes at York, but has been eased in grade since and ran well to be second in a selling handicap recently. Although that was a low key affair, she is respected. Royal Pardon deserves to win a race after some valiant efforts in defeat and this can be her day.
