Confide, Ya Late Maite and Cuesta Canyon are the three that catch the eye here and Confide is taken to come out on top as he gets the fast ground he needs for the first time this season. After showing little as a two-year-old, Ya Late Maite showed improved form to finish third at Catterick on her seasonal bow. That was a fair performance and in the context of this race that run gives her a chance. Ai Hawa showed a little promise last season in a handful of runs but ran by far her best race to date when finishing a good third at Redcar on her seasonal bow. If she comes on for the run, she can be expected to be in the shake up. Alan Swinbank is optimistic that Confide will have a good season but he has not had his preferred fast ground to date this year. He ran well at Thirsk on his re-appearance to be third but disappointed on softer ground at Pontefract last week. Confide will be seen to much better effect here and can win at a nice price.
